- **Event Description**: What better way is there to spend a summer day than at the waterfront? Our June event is giving water, sunshine, open water birds, and icy treats at undeniably the most prolific and accessible birding spot in the Indianapolis region, Eagle Creek Park.

Thirty, Birdy & Thriving is designed for birders aged 20-40ish to make friends who share their hobby.To register, email Olivia Bautch at falcon_515@outlook.com.


We’ll meet up with Chandler Roberts, former ABAS Birdathon Chair and our bird guide for the morning, at the Eagle Creek Park Marina. From there we might explore any of several wetland spots, based on what’s been observed recently. These may include: the North Loop, Coffer Dam, and Starling Nature Sanctuary, which usually bring herons, egrets, and terns to their mudflats, and many breeding songbirds and warblers to the forests. We can also try for the Neotropic Cormorant for anyone who has not yet seen one.
