Info: 23 Mar 7.30pm - 8.30pm. Discover new facets of emotional intelligence involving the body's subconscious role in shaping the way we appraise events, experience emotions and make decisions.
Info: 24 Mar 9.30am - 11am. For mental health practitioners to learn about the use of expressive movement-based interventions to fast-track understanding and exploration into clients' emotional lives.
Info: 24 Mar 7.30pm - 8.30pm. Join us in this interdisciplinary setting that blends intimate sharing with professional clarity. Listen to personal stories from art, music and dance movement therapists on how they have engaged with art to articulate vulnerability, mend emotional wounds and find strength.
Info: 25 & 26 Mar 7.30pm - 8.30pm. Engage in your own authentic movement process, in the company of others to curated playlists, as a way of reawakening alliance to yourself, and reconnecting to what is important.
Info: 27 Mar 7.30pm - 8.30pm & 29 Mar 2.30pm - 3.30pm. A beginner-friendly guided somatic movement experience to help you reset your nervous system and reconnect with your body.
Info: 28 Mar 9am - 10am. How can we intentionally attune to physical spaces as catalysts and containers for ourselves, re-perceived to meet our needs for pleasure, inspiration, respite, and freedom? Let your curiosity guide you around different parts of our venue space, as you discover what moves and serves you.
Info: 28 Mar 10.30am - 12.30pm. Experience the potential of movement therapy-based activity in building closer teams, and catalysing mindset shifts towards sustainable motivation, adaptiveness & mental renewal.
Info: 28 Mar 10am - 12pm. Under the guidance of a facilitator, experience the transformative potential of dance-making as a route to self-healing and validation. Through an easy-to-follow creative process, you’ll create and own a short movement piece that reflects parts of your lived experience. (For 17-25 yrs)
Info: 28 Mar 2pm - 3pm. Explore and develop your personal toolkit to enhance emotional regulation and resourcing in times of stress.
Info: 28 Mar 5pm - 6.30pm. An introductory-beginner level contemporary dance workshop for participants who are keen to navigate through taught movement sequences surrounding activation, rooting, contrasting rhythms, and flow.
Info: 29 Mar 10am - 12pm. Inviting teachers and school counsellors to experience how creative movement supports youth mental resilience and self-confidence through curated activites from our Etonhouse Community Funded-program.
Info: 29 Mar 2pm - 3.30pm. Blending elements of beginner-friendly acroyoga and DMT principles, immerse in a series of partner exercises to build mental focus, resilience and trust, all while having fun.
Info: 29 Mar 4pm - 5pm. In our closing event, we extend a warm invitation to friends (past, present + future) of Movemental and the Dance/Movement Therapy community to come gather! Through a safe fluid space, let's weave threads that include belonging, support, joy and the freedom to be.
