The project was made possible through the collaborative efforts of the city of Clearwater, the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), FlyUSA, American Infrastructure Development, Inc. and Bandes Construction.

The Clearwater Executive Airport (KCLW), formerly known as the Clearwater Airpark, is in the heart of Pinellas County. It is an important transportation asset that provides significant economic impact to the community by supporting local businesses, corporate and general aviation, emergency response operations and visitors to the area. The airport sits at an elevation of 71 feet above sea level, making it the only airport in Pinellas County that is not in a flood zone. The new terminal building reflects the city's continued investment in maintaining safe, efficient and high-quality public infrastructure while enhancing the overall customer experience.
