Brighton Beach Memoirs

Francis Wilson Playhouse presents Brighton Beach Memoirs! Brighton Beach Memoirs is a semi-autobiographical comedy by Neil Simon that follows 15-year-old Eugene Jerome as he comes of age in 1930s Brooklyn. Living in a cramped Brighton Beach apartment with his parents, brother, aunt, and cousins, Eugene navigates adolescence, family tensions, and first crushes while observing the challenges of adulthood during the Great Depression. Through Eugene’s candid narration, the play blends humor and heart to explore family, growing up, and the loss of innocence.
