- **Event Description**: About this EventGuo Gan and His Friends International Concert果敢與他的朋友們國際音樂會Description 簡介After the success of his debut concert in 2023, Erhu Master Guo Gan returns to HKUST with an ensemble of renowned international musicians who are his long-time collaborators to present a wonderful program of music from diverse origins, demonstrating how Chinese and foreign instruments and musical styles can be blended into beautiful harmony. Guo Gan holds a bachelor’s degree in music (Erhu) from Shenyang Conservatory of Music and a master’s degree from the National Music School of Fresnes in Paris. He has performed more than 3000 shows in over 100 countries and regions, published more than 90 albums, integrating rich elements into them, including classical, jazz, ballet, opera, modern and pop music. His masterpieces are heard in many Chinese and Western movies, such as Kung Fu Panda 3, Shaolin, and L’Idole. He is a frequent player at many worldwide famous concert halls, for example, New York Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center Hall.
