CRESCENDO! Recital and Scholarship Presentation

Join Union Avenue Opera on Sunday, March 8 at 3:00 p.m. for a free public concert featuring the next generation of opera artists. Presented on the Union Avenue Opera stage, the annual CRESCENDO! recital invites audiences to experience bold young voices and emerging talent in an intimate, professional setting. Doors open at 2:30 p.m., and all are welcome.

CRESCENDO! is Union Avenue Opera’s free collegiate enrichment program for undergraduate voice students from across the St. Louis region. Now in its twelfth year, the program gives young artists the chance to learn, collaborate, and perform alongside UAO professionals as they take important first steps toward their careers.

The impact of CRESCENDO! is real and lasting. The program has been completed more than 220 times, awarded 38 scholarships totaling $25,500, and led to 96 professional contracts across 23 Union Avenue Opera productions. Many singers you have seen on the UAO stage began their journey right here.
