Our 1st retreat at Christmastime!
Christmas Knit on Main, North Georgia Mountains, December 8-11, 2025
Three nights at the Bridge Creek Inn, a stylish boutique hotel with contemporary accents and European style guestrooms and amenities - in the heart of bustling downtown Clayton.
Free street level parking just steps away from the hotel's entrance.
The lobby coffee bar open all day serving light breakfast fare & pastries during morning hours.
Plush lobby furnishings for relaxing, knitting, and people watching.
King and double queen rooms, each with Posturepedic Pillowtop Mattresses, walk-in shower, mini refrigerator, hair dryer, safety deposit box, 50' flat screen TV, and complimentary Wi-Fi. Daily morning coffee and tea service are available in the lobby. No need to worry with steps - guestrooms are accessible by elevators in the lobby.
All meals are at your leisure but...The Vandiver Restaurant, cojoined with the hotel's lobby, has an expansive tavern style dinner menu featuring regional specialties. Numerous restaurants within walking distance serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
A unique collection of boutiques and galleries line Main Street, all a short walk from the hotel's lobby entrance. No car needed.
TKGA Master Knitter Charles Gandy will offer several engaging but affordable workshops at Isadora Popper *,an eclectic shopping emporium (with an extensive inventory of fine yarns and knitting notions) just one block from the hotel. *Isadora Popper is planning a private event exclusive to our group.
Weather permitting, there's several state parks and quaint towns nearby for hiking & sightseeing. The Bavarian-themed town of Helen is only about an hour away.
Other than Charles' workshops and private event we'll have no formal activities allowing ample time to shop and dine along Clayton's festively adorned Main Street or knit at your leisure.
Clayton is located amidst North Georgia's pristine Blue Ridge Mountains but easy to reach from Atlanta (2 hours), Asheville (1 hour, 36 minutes), and Charlotte, (3 hours, 30 minutes). Interstates 40 and 85 are about an hour away but four-lane highways 23 and 441 make reaching Clayton a breeze.
North Georgia's December daytime weather is usually delightful - crisp with bright blue sunny skies. Evenings are crystal clear and nippy - a great time to wear and show off your latest knitwear creations.
The Bridge Creek Inn is small, and room availability is limited. Let us know soon if you'll be attending and who will be sharing a room with you. We'd love to have commitments known early and fill the hotel. Rates will be posted on our website shortly.
