This four week pottery wheel throwing course is designed for beginners, guiding you through the fundamentals of shaping clay into stunning forms. Here's what you'll learn:
*Foundations on the Wheel – Safety, Learn the basics of centering, shaping, and creating various forms like bowls, vessels and cylinders using stoneware clay.
*Practice – Develop your skills through hands-on practice and personalized guidance.
*Trim, Carve, and Attach – Explore the art of trimming and carving your pottery pieces, adding unique details and perfecting your shapes.
*Glazing Techniques – Discover the world of glazes, experimenting with different colors, textures, and finishes. Learn how to apply glazes properly for beautiful and durable results.
*Firing & Finishing – Included for your creations during class, transforming them into lasting works of art.
This course is all-inclusive, with the cost covering all materials, including stoneware clay, firings, glazes, instruction and finished pieces. Join us and discover the joy of pottery wheel throwing! You'll be surprised at the beautiful pieces you can create. No experience necessary — all levels are welcome! Open to ages 8 and up.
