The 5k Fun Run/Walk and 1-Mile Kids Fun Run/Walk are conducted in scenic Occoneechee State Park which borders Kerr Lake/Buggs Island and the attractive lakefront town of Clarksville Va. The 5K course consists of paved roads, rolling hills, and lake views as it winds through wooded areas of the park. All proceeds directly benefit Occoneechee State Park by providing funding for projects such as an ADA-compliant fishing dock, 18-hole Disc Golf Course, and many other park events, enhancements, and environmental projects. The Annual Turkey Trot event is sponsored by the Friends of Occoneechee State Park, a volunteer nonprofit organization.

Children 13 and under. Parental assistance and strollers are welcome. All children that participate in the 1 mile Kids Fun Run will receive a medal.
****5K Fun Run/Walk @ 11:00 a.m.
All ages, walk, run, hop, skip or crawl! Well-mannered leashed pets & costumes are welcome! Medals will be awarded to the top three overall male and female finishers of the 5K and top finisher in the following age groups: 14 - 24; 25 - 35; 36 - 46; 47 - 57; 58 - 68; and 69 and up.
T-shirts: Available for purchase. Please order during registration on or before October 20, 2025.
Park entry fee: $7.00 OR four (4) cans of food that will be donated to the local food bank.
