Event Details Fishing Day: 🗓️ Saturday, November 7, 2026 ⏰ Fishing from 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM 📍 Occoneechee State Park - 1192 Occoneechee Park Rd, Clarksville, VA Meet up is at 5:30 AM sharp for boat assignments and a safety briefing! Each Veteran or Active Duty Service Member will be paired with a seasoned captain for an epic day of catfishing on Kerr Reservoir (AKA Buggs Island) . After a full day on the water, we’ll gather at the pavilion for a well-deserved meal, camaraderie, and celebration. This event is 100% FREE for Veterans and Active Duty Service Members! Fishing has long been known to provide therapeutic benefits — reducing stress, improving mental wellness, and fostering meaningful connection.
