It’s for friends. Teammates. Coworkers. Parents. Youth leaders. Neighbours.The “TALK” represents the four simple but powerful actions participants learn to practice:Tell – Recognize and identify signs that someone may be struggling.Ask – Confidently and directly ask about suicide.Listen – Hear their story with empathy and without judgment.KeepSafe – Connect them with trained intervention resources in the communitysafeTALK also challenges the stigma and taboos that often prevent open conversations about suicide, helping create safer, more supportive communities where people feel able to speak up.Because it’s just a half-day commitment, safeTALK is an accessible introduction to mental health and suicide awareness training. With a minimum age requirement of just 15 years old, it is also one of the most youth-accessible mental health trainings available.safeTALK requires a minimum number of participants and cannot proceed if under-attended.
