We are honored to welcome Chef Nico Williams  as our featured speaker and presenter.

Chef Nico, a Cherokee Nation citizen, chef, caterer, educator, and founder of Burning Cedar Sovereign Wellness, has dedicated her work to preserving and revitalizing traditional Indigenous foodways. Through research, teaching, and community engagement, she helps reconnect Native families with ancestral foods, sustainable practices, and cultural traditions.

During this special presentation, Chef Nico will discuss traditional Cherokee foods, foraging practices, and the importance of food sovereignty. Attendees will also have the opportunity to enjoy a traditional dish prepared and shared by Chef Nico.

Chef Nico's work has been recognized nationally and internationally through her role as a culinary diplomat, educator, and advocate for Indigenous food systems. Her efforts have been featured by the Smithsonian Institution, PBS, Food Network Magazine, USA Today, BBC, Cherokee Nation's OsiyoTV, and many other organizations.
