Pomona College Orchestra

Journey to Italy and France at the turn of the twentieth century with the Pomona College Orchestra. Ottorino Respighi’s Fountains of Rome and Debussy’s Fêtes illustrate how two of Europe’s most vibrant capitals have inspired flights of the imagination. The PCO’s 2025 Concerto Competition Winner, Matthew Chang ’27, performs Prokofiev’s jaunty and capricious second violin concerto, full of rhythmic and harmonic surprises. Lili Boulanger’s D’un soir triste offers a moment of introspection.
