COMFREY Salve Making Party + Workshop

Comfrey is one of our most-used herbs on the farm, whether we give it to injured animals, use it in salves, or making tinctures. It's herbal nickname is "knitbone." It's so powerful that it is NOT recommended to use on a deep wound (it could heal the surface too fast and create an absess) or on a broken bone before an orthopedist looks at it (because it could heal too fast and if the bone needs to be set they might have to re-break it ---- yikes!).

Get ready for a fun and hands-on experience crafting your very own calendula salve. This is an in-person event where you’ll learn all about the healing properties of comfrey, also called "knitbone," and how to create a healing salve from scratch. True Cut Ranch is a beuautiful regenerative farm on 140 acres in Claremont, North Carolina. Join Melissa Falcone, your farmer and hostess, to learn all about calendula, infusing oils, and making salves at home. Enjoy some light snacks including from-the-farm ingredients.

Our comfrey salve uses farm-grown comfrey infused in Sicilian oil, grass-finished clarified beef tallow from the farm, organic castor oil, American beeswax, and infused oils.
