𝐒𝐠𝐮𝐫𝐫 𝐂𝐡𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐡 𝐁𝐞𝐚𝐠 (𝟗𝟔𝟑𝐦, 𝐌𝐮𝐧𝐫𝐨 𝐓𝐨𝐩) – 𝐬𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐬𝐲 𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐤
𝐒𝐠𝐮𝐫𝐫 𝐂𝐡𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐡 𝐌𝐨𝐫 (𝟏𝟎𝟗𝟒𝐦, 𝐌𝐮𝐧𝐫𝐨) – 𝐛𝐢𝐠 𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐬𝐲 𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐤
These two shapely peaks at the SW end of the grand Grey Corries Ridge make an easily achievable expedition. The scenery is magnificent in the shadow of the Aonach Mor massif, with views into the vast Chul-Choire, out of sight from many angles.
Start from the Upper Falls CP, NN167691, at the end of the Glen Nevis road. Follow the path E through the Nevis gorge and continue to Steall ruin. Continue on the path E for 2km, taking the upper route when it bifurcates. Leave the pathᵉˣ where it crosses the Allt Coire a’ Bhuicᵉˣ, NN208⁸⁵690⁷⁵, and follow this burn up NNE. Once below the cliffs of Sgurr a’Bhuic, head up N to the col at an altitude of 731mᵉˣ. Turn E and climb the ridge to the summit of Sgurr Choinnich Beag. Descend E to a col and climb the ridge to the summit of Sgurr Choinnich Mor. Return to the col then descend SW across the slopes to re-join the path in Glen Nevis. Head W back to the start.
