Honouring the Fallen, Remembering Together
Everyone is warmly invited to join us for our annual Remembrance Sunday event, as we come together to honour the sacrifices made by those who served in the armed forces and to reflect on the cost of conflict.
Sunday 9th November 2025
10.30 – 11.30
Weeley War Memorial, Bentley Road, Weeley Heath
10.30 Gathering at Weeley War Memorial
10.55 Welcome followed by the names of the fallen being read
11.00 The Last Post is sounded followed by two minutes’ silence
11.05 Reveille is sounded followed by the laying of wreaths
11.15 Closing prayers
11.25 National Anthem
All are encouraged to wear a poppy in remembrance and veterans and serving personnel are especially welcome to attend in uniform.
Any local community groups are invited to lay a wreath around the memorial.
To keep everyone safe traffic diversions will be in place so that Bentley Road from its junction with Clacton Road down to Mill Lane will be closed to traffic from 10.30 to 11.30.
