Daniel Elmes, 34, sadly died when the motorbike he was riding was involved in a crash with a car on the southbound carriageway on the stretch near Harlow at around 3.50pm on Sunday August 17.
Daniel’s family have issued a statement, which said: “Our beloved son Daniel, was a brilliant, brave and truly extraordinary person.
"He was a bright, adventurous, free spirit, who lived with immense energy, passion and love.
