It will be an opportunity to share ideas, hear about good practice, and explore how we can work together to create more inclusive, connected age friendly communities. There will be speakers and interactive workshops to help participants gain insights into the challenges and opportunities facing older residents, while building partnerships and networks that help people to thrive as they age.The event will feature keynote speakers Siobhan Farmer, Director of Public Health, Gloucestershire County Council and Sarah Scott - Executive Director of Adult Social Care, Wellbeing and Communities, Gloucestershire County Council. They will be joined by other speakers (to be announced) alongside opportunities for discussion, networking and collaboration. Age Friendly Cotswolds is a three year initative designed to improve the quality of life for older people and create lasting community-led change. It brings together local voluntary sector organisations to work alongside older people to strengthen their connection, wellbeing and influence across communities. It will focus on four areas Health and Wellbeing, Social and Civic Participation, Empowerment and Resilience, Impact and Influence.Age Friendly Cotswolds is run in partnership by four organisations: Age UK Gloucestershire, The Churn Community Hub, Cotswold Friends and Tetbury Area Youth and Community Trust.For more information about the partnership go to: Find out about Age Friendly Cotswolds
