Make & Take: Calming Creations – Winter at Pinewood (Grades 1–5, After-School Mindful Art)

After-school creativity to inspire calm, focus, and winter joy!

Join The Mindfulness Movement at Pinewood Elementary School for a festive Make & Take: Calming Creations – Winter Series, a 3-week after-school enrichment program for students in grades 1–5. Through mindful art and sensory play, students will create calming winter-themed projects they get to make and take home each week.

Here’s what they’ll be crafting:

❄️ Week 1: Falling Snow Sensory Bottles
Swirl peaceful winter scenes in your own handheld snow globe-style bottle.

✨ Week 2: Snowflake Slime
Stretch and sparkle with chilly day slime that soothes and entertains.

🍪 Week 3: Gingerbread Play Dough
Sculpt and play with warm, spiced dough that smells like holiday joy.

Led by licensed teacher Tara Willits, this class helps kids slow down, create, and connect in a fun and emotionally supportive environment.
