When you join us for tea at 8 Cats Cincinnati, you’re not just visiting a tea house—you’re stepping into a historic home that transports you back more than a century, to a time when tea was served in intimate, elegant settings. Our Poolside Sunset Tea & Swim experience carries that tradition outdoors—where golden hour light, soft breezes, and the glow of evening create something truly special.
This unique evening tea takes place in our backyard oasis, surrounding the pool, as the sun begins to set the space transitions into a warm, ambient escape set the tone for a peaceful, immersive experience. You’ll be welcomed with a petite teacup featuring a sample of one of our house-curated teas before being seated at beautifully arranged tables around the pool area.
The evening unfolds in two thoughtfully designed portions. The first hour will be a seated, traditional tea service enjoyed during golden hour. Guests will be served a three-tiered tray of freshly baked sweets and savory bites, salad, along with unlimited pours of our curated teas—available both hot and iced, each inspired by our resident kitties. Warm, fluffy scones will be delivered fresh from the oven as you relax into the experience and watch the sun dip lower in the sky.
As twilight settles in, the second hour invites you to transition into a relaxed, poolside atmosphere. Guests are welcome to swim, unwind, and enjoy the peaceful glow of the evening as the space shifts into a serene nighttime retreat.
Please note that all guests who wish to access the pool must sign a waiver prior to participation.
While our resident cats are not permitted outdoors during this event, guests are always welcome to step inside and spend time visiting them on the first floor of the home.
In the event of inclement weather, tea service will be moved indoors.
Parking:
Free parking is available in the rear of the venue at 239 Forest Ave., as well as along Forest Ave. and Wilson Ave.
Refund & Cancellation Policy:
Cancellations made at least 24 hours in advance will receive a credit toward a future event.
No credits will be issued for no-shows.
