Reserve seats for: OSHA Confined Space Entry Operations - 8 Hour
This course is designed to provide the student’s knowledge and skills sets in order properly identified and control hazards associated with permit-required confined space entry operations, The student shall receive training on Confined Space air monitoring, Confined Space Entry equipment, and skills on how to conduct both a horizontal & vertical entry in accordance with OSHA “Permit Required Confined Space” standard 29CFR1910.146 and 29 CFR 1926.21
Course Learning Objectives:
Identify and recognize an OSHA permit-required confined space
Explain the duties and responsibilities of an Authorized Entrant, Attendant, Entry Supervisor, and Rescue and Emergency Services
Select and place into operation a direct reading instrument(s) to monitor for flammable, oxygen deficient/enriched, and toxic gases and vapors.
Explain and demonstrate Lockout-Tag-out procedures for Permit Required Confined Spaces in accordance with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.147
Select and identify the appropriate type of respiratory protection
Perform pre-entry, entry, and exit procedures for permit required confined spaces
Select and place into operation a retrieval system
Select and place into operation appropriate ventilation equipment
Select and place into operation a fall protection system
Explain & perform a Non Entry Confined Space Rescue
A competent individual that will possess the basic knowledge & skills to perform Permit Required Confined Space Entry operations at a facility or job site.
