What other things can we find on the farm that start with S?This week, our Little Farmers will explore sunflowers! After introducing our letter of the week, we’ll climb aboard the hayride and head out to Gorman Heritage Farm’s sunflower field.Together, we’ll read a story, wander among the sunflowers, explore sunflower seeds and flower heads up close, and use our senses to discover what makes these incredible plants so special.Each Little Farmer will also get to choose one sunflower to take home!Little Farmers Story Time pairs children’s literature with hands-on farm experiences designed to encourage young children to read, listen, move, explore, ask questions, and experience the natural world with all five senses.Ticket cost is for one Adult/Child Pair. Pre-registration is required.Additional siblings can attend for additional fee. Limited space for siblings.Babes in Arms are Free.FAQsIs admission to the farm include in the price of the ticket?YES! After each class, you are welcome to continue to explore the farm with your preschooler. The farm is open from 9am-5pm on Tuesdays.What should we wear?Dress in layers to be prepared to both sit inside for 30 mintues and walk around outside (less than a mile on a path) for 30 minutes.POLICIESPrograms run rain or shine. Dress for the weather if your program takes you outside!No ticket refunds within 1 week of the program except in the case of Gorman Heritage Farm cancelling the program.If you suspect you may be coming down with a transmissible illness, we require you to stay home to help keep others healthy.
