Patients and Clinicians are welcome!
Please join us for our Inaugural Genetic and Familial Cardiomyopathy Symposium, dedicated to advancing the frontier of novel therapies for patients with inherited heart conditions. Speakers from across the region will share their expertise in treating this patient population.
The Christ Hospital has the regions first dedicated Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM) Center. As one of only two HCM Centers of Excellence in Ohio, we are dedicated to leading the way for the 1.3 million Americans living with the disease. We have a team that includes heart failure specialists, imaging specialists, electrophysiologists, genetic counselors, and surgeons with expertise in all aspects of genetic and familial cardiomyopathies. We focus on controlling symptoms, lowering the risk of sudden cardiac death, and help patients live a normal life. We offer the latest medications, advanced heart procedures and surgeries. The center also provides education, genetic testing and counseling. Because we understand that HCM can affect patients psychologically, we address the mental and emotional aspects as well. At the Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Center, we personalize patient care to focus on their needs and overall health.
The Christ Hospital Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Center has received the 2025 Innovator Award from the American Heart Association in recognition of advancing research and improving care for patients with HCM.
