Cincinnati Parks + Rec for Wellness Winter Hiking Series
Get ready to explore the great outdoors with our Winter Hiking Series, part of our Cincinnati Parks + Rec for Wellness program!
Join us in person as we hit the trails (and stairs!) to stay active and soak up some fresh air this winter. Whether you're a seasoned hiker or just looking for a fun way to boost your wellness, these hikes are perfect for all levels. Lace up your boots and come enjoy nature, good company, and some healthy adventure!
For this week’s hike, we’re teaming up with the Urban Rangers to kick off the new year with movement and elevation. We’ll meet at Ziegler Park in Over-the-Rhine (1322 Sycamore St, Cincinnati, OH 45202) by the Table Tennis/Pool entrance, viewable near the parking garage on Sycamore, and head out on a winter route that weaves together city steps and hillside parks—including Bellevue, Jackson Hill, Inwood, Filson, and more. It’s the perfect way to get those steps in, shake off the holiday haze, and welcome 2026 with fresh air and new views.
Don't forget to sign our waiver before you hit the trails!

About the Urban Rangers & Derek Scacchetti
This hike will be led by the Urban Rangers, a community group dedicated to exploring Cincinnati’s hills, stairways, and hidden green spaces on foot, and is led by Derek Scacchetti. Together, they help people see the city in a new way—connecting neighborhoods, parks, and viewpoints through human-powered movement. Their walks highlight the blend of nature, history, and everyday life that makes our hillside landscapes so special, while encouraging people of all experience levels to feel confident and curious outdoors.
