Yamamoto will discuss and demonstrate his copper plate etching process. Attendees will see his process unfold in real time and are encouraged to ask questions during the demonstration.This event kicks off Yamamoto's weekend workshop, Line Fundamentals: Copper Plate Etching with the Échoppe , and offers a rare chance to watch his technique up close.Open to the public. His practice ranges from meticulously engraved copper plates to large-scale monotypes and kites.Yamamoto studied at the Pacific Northwest College of Art in Portland, Oregon, and continued his training in copper engraving at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków, Poland, and the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava, Slovakia.
