Please dress warmly – beanies, mittens etc. are advised. Be advised that there are candles lighting paths. Skirts or other draping clothing is not recommended. Please be aware the path is uneven and narrow in parts, not suitable for prams or people with mobility issues.

The Makuru Winter Festival is a festival of quiet and introspection. Please assist us by maintaining an atmosphere of reverence and awe. As tempting as it is to take advantage of the time to catch up with relatives and friends (especially over a meal), we ask that you save this for another time. Your children need to stay with you for the whole evening, dinner, walk and bonfire. Older siblings must always stay with the family. Quiet and the absence of phones and cameras will ensure a special time for all. 

We look forward to sharing this beautiful evening with you and will share further details closer to the festival.
