- **Event Description**: On Tuesday 28 October Hurricane Melissa made landfall in Jamaica and brought devastation and death to the Caribbean as it tore through the region for several days, as one of the most powerful Atlantic storms in more than 150 years. The Caribbean community in Australia is heartbroken by this devastation in our region. In response, the Jamaican and Caribbean communities across Australia have united and are coordinating efforts to support in the relief and recovery of Hurricane Melissa. Unite with us by attending this event to show your support to the recovery efforts.
