Looking for a chance to get out of the city and into some of the most spectacular beautiful local surrounds with like minded people? Join us for our popular returning Yoga Hikes! This route is through Carding Mill Valley, taking in beautiful views of the Long Mynd and surrounding Shropshire hills.? We've lovingly created a whole day itinerary to nurture body, mind and soul through connection with self and others. We'll begin with a grounding, summer themed Hatha/Vinyasa flow followed by a hike, a hillside meditation, lunch with a view, further walking and a short cake break (essential) before a final wander and yin yoga session to wind down.We can't think of a better way to spend the day!? Please BYO lunch, yoga mat (you won't have to walk with this, there will be chance to drop it back at your car before we start the hike), water, picnic blanket, change for a drink if you'd like one from the cafe to go with your cake. You may also want to bring a towel if you fancy a dip in the reservoir after.? Meeting Point PLEASE READ CAREFULLY is Rectory Wood Car Park, Cunnery Road, Church Stretton SY6 6DQ (free parking all day) - another option would be church street - we do yoga in the field at the bottom of the hill by church street. Parking there can be limited though and the car park at Cunnery Road up the hill is spacious + quieter (and free). Please note if you end up driving up a hill and onto the long mynd you're going the wrong way!? FAQ~ Do I need yoga/meditation experience?No, the yoga and meditation sessions will be completely guided and suitable for everyone, from those who have never practiced yoga before to seasoned practitioners.~Do I need to be good at hiking?Not particularly, the route will be approximately 6 miles round trip and we'll be going at a steady pace, with breaks when needed. You do need a fairly good fitness level to take part but you don't need to be a hiking pro.~Do I need to wear hiking boots?If you have them, wonderful, if not trainers with a good tread can also work.~ Are there toilet facilities?There will be no toilet facilities en route until we get to Carding Mill Valley around 4pm - just the great outdoors! As you enter Church Stretton in the morning there are facilites by the medical practice.~ What is your wet weather policy?We will go ahead rain or shine, please bring appropriate waterproofs etc. If there is rain we may need to change the itinerary to accommodate that so you're not soggy for yoga!
