After a sold out debut night, the return of the Kāwai is here! In Whenua Step 2! we are joined by the legendary Ōhinehou-based rangatira crew, Roots Fire Sound. We invite you to the dance in a night full of pioneering jamaican music that has shaped the world and touched the musically-infused country of Aotearoa. This night is a culmination and celebration of both long-established, pioneering crews and the next generation. Expect the authentic, heavyweight sound and deep-rooted traditions shared through Roots Fire Sound's long-standing tenure in the sound system culture of Aotearoa alongside the new and fresh expression of the youth in Ōtautahi through the Kāwai Sound System crew.
