Walk for Dementia
Please join us to walk in memory or support of a loved one with dementia, and help us raise funds to support our work in the community
This fun walk is a special opportunity to walk in memory or support of a loved one with dementia, plus raise funds to support Dementia Canterbury’s work in the community.
Come and walk as many times as you would like around the fantastic new athletics track at Ngā Puna Wai (Augustine Drive, off Halswell Road), anytime between 10am -11.30am. Spot prizes will be awarded throughout the morning, including a prize for the best dressed team, so choose a team theme/colour and get creative! Free parking onsite.
Please be prepared for all weather, wet or fine we will go ahead!
Adults: $16 ($25 cash on the day)
Children under 10: Free
Those with dementia/disability/carers who would like to pay a reduced rate: $6
Team of 6: $75 (must register online)
Children’s team of 10 members (ages 10-17): $50 (must register online)
Spectator: Any amount you wish to donate
Online registration is available until Friday 15th March at 12 noon.
Please note that we are unable to refund registrations if you cannot attend but your fee with be donated to Dementia Canterbury’s work in the community.
Wheelchair, walking frame, and stroller friendly but no scooters or bikes.
Open to all ages but no dogs sorry.
Bring your own water – refills will be available.
