Celeste and Jo warmly welcome you to a gathering of wāhine on the longest night. A night of inward reflection and stillness as we gather under Takurua.



Acknowledging Hine-Takurua, the winter maiden representing a time of release, deep nourishment and gratitude. 



Takurua is a Māori name for winter & the name for the brightest star in the night sky also known as Sirius.



In te ao Māori Hinetakurua represents the winter maiden. She is seen in the winter months in the form of Takurua ️ high along the horizon  as the sun rises.



We will start the evening connecting with one another & and acknowledging the energies of Takurua. Followed with a grounding guided meditation and a journey of sound and energy healing frequencies. We will end our evening with a nourishing winter soup to ground the mauri and open the space for reflection.



Who: For Wāhine looking to honour themselves and the energies of the winter solstice 



Where: Opti-mum Studio - 2 Humphrey’s drive, ferrymead. Opti-mum studio is upstairs, please arrive at 5:50pm to get yourself cosy to start at 6:00pm 



What to bring: 

There are yoga mats, bolsters and blankets provided. Bring whatever helps you feel relaxed, comfortable and warm. 

 * Please bring a big mug and spoon for soup to ground us in after the session

 * Water bottle 

 * Journal and pen
