Born and trained in Cuba, Vivio graduated from Havana’s prestigious National School of Arts, specialising in ballet, contemporary and folkloric dance. His talent took him around the world performing with elite dance companies before he made New Zealand his home in 2002. Since then, Vivio has become one of NZ’s most influential Cuban dance educators. Through The Cuban Groove, he has taught thousands of students, trained teachers nationwide and helped shape the Cuban dance community from the ground up.
