String-making with tī kōuka on Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays
A fun experience for all ages & a unique, resourceful way to connect with Ōtautahi Christchurch.
This takes place 10.30 to 11.30am every Monday, Wednesday & Friday at Rekindleʼs craft workshop at the Arts Centre, upstairs in the Boys High Building 28 Worcester Boulevard in Christchurch city centre.
This workshop will give you a resourceful skill that you'll be able to use in so many ways for the rest of your life! This technique for making string and rope is simple and can be used with many different materials. We will teach you how to use tī kōuka / cabbage tree leaves as these are abundantly available.
Just purchase your spot online and turn up on your selected day for the class which begins at 10.30am.
