We follow group of recent graduates from Washington, D.C.'s Georgetown University, and their adjustment to post-university life. ST. ELMO'S FIRE was a prominent example of the Brat Pack genre which received mixed reviews from critics upon release but was a box-office hit, grossing $37.8 million on a $10 million budget.

Well written, well made, well acted, and Directed with precision by Joel Schumacher, St. Elmo's Fire is a quintessential film about the strange middle-ground between youth and adulthood.
