As millions celebrate Nowruz this year under war and oppression, we feel it is more important than ever to honour this ancient tradition and keep its light alive.

We believe deeply in music’s power to heal, uplift, and bring people together. This evening is dedicated to the people of Iran, who have endured severe hardship for far too long. Through our renditions of traditional Iranian songs of freedom, peace, and life, we stand in solidarity with them.

Through this gathering, we come together to welcome the spring for those who cannot, and for those who did not live to see it, holding onto the hope of renewal and new life that Nowruz brings.

The programme will feature live traditional Iranian music from both our adult and children’s groups, a Haft-seen display, poetry, tea, and refreshments.

Entry is free, with donations to the Yarra Foundation appreciated. We hope to see you there!
