- **Event Description**: Richmond Gala 2026 is back for another brilliant community day out! Hosted by Richmond Community Garden, Avebury House, and We Are Richmond, this much-loved neighbourhood event celebrates the creativity, people, and organisations that make Richmond such a special place to live.

The whole riverside corner will come alive from Vogel Street through to Evelyn Couzins Avenue. Start at the Community Garden meadow with the popular Car Boot Sale, wander through the garden where you’ll find over 20 local not-for-profit organisations, demonstrations, performers, games, and family fun, and continue up to Avebury House where crafty and creative stallholders will line the lawn. There will also be delicious food trucks, fresh produce, a fundraising sausage sizzle sponsored by New World Stanmore, live DJ music by Riverlution Café, and Avebury House’s famous Devonshire Tea served inside the historic house.

This year we’re excited to introduce our very first ? Wonky Veg Competition! Bring along your funniest, quirkiest, most delightfully wonky vegetables and see if you can claim the crown. It’s all about fun, laughter, and celebrating the wonderfully imperfect produce from our gardens.

Our ? Preserve Competition, a community favourite, is also back! Show off your jams, pickles, chutneys, drinks, and vinegars and share the flavours of your garden with the community. Entries are welcome from February through to Friday 27 March. Categories include Jam, Pickles & Chutneys, and Drinks & Vinegars, and don’t forget the People’s Choice Award, where the community gets to vote for their favourites.
