- **Event Description**: Join Richard Black for a five-day intensive designed to sharpen core counselling skills and accelerate client change. Richard uses an integrative cognitive approach he calls, New Perspective Therapy. It blends cognitive, emotional, and postmodern approaches. You will learn to distinguish the felt and the real need, locate causation, and collaborate with clients to discover new perspectives that releases both mind and heart. Grounded in Scripture and a theological framework. 
Who is it for
Suitable for therapists seeking high-value professional development to deepen their clinical effectiveness, and for counselling students wanting a practical, comprehensive foundation for practice. Participants will confirm eligibility on enrolment.
You will learn to:
•	Anchor your practice in an integrated theological framework.
•	Build strong alliances with RESST as a relational scaffold. Includes: self-awareness, transference and countertransference, five types of listening, and effective reflective questions.
•	Never feel stuck or lost in a session again. Richard’s DICTOS framework provides a clear process scaffold for effective and efficient work.  
•	Focus on genuine change. Use B.E.N. as a change scaffold linking beliefs, emotions, and needs, to address underlying challenges and key drivers of change.
