Motosoc's MiniTT Rally
Motosoc’s latest and greatest event for the year is approaching faster than your grandma in her corolla. Get out your motorbike or scooter, dust off those helmets, and prepare yourself for the longest and hardest thing you’ve ever experienced.
Did I say “thing”? I meant “event”.
Ride out to various locations and snap a picture of your bike to earn points. You must collect at least 100 points to finish the rally. Prizes will be awarded to the person who travels the least kms, and to the person who collects the most points. You have 6 hours to complete the challenge, so this is your excuse to fix that 50cc scooter that’s sitting in your back yard with only one wheel. This is not a race, and there is no set route. You choose your own route and set your own pace. Choose to ride alone or with others.
All bikes and scooters (or any two wheeled vehicle with a motor) must be FULLY road legal, and you must carry the required licence. Helmets are required. Boots, gloves and appropriate clothing are HIGHLY recommended.
Most locations will be in town. However, some locations will require riding on gravel or open roads. It is possible to complete the rally without collecting these. If you want to collect these, please make sure your bike/scooter is set up for this type of riding, and you have the skills to be comfortable without endangering yourself or other road users!
Different locations are worth different amounts of points. The harder it is to access, the more points it is worth.
To compete, you must be a Canterbury Uni student or Motosoc member.
More information, along with the locations will be provided at a later date.
