This 3-day wānanga is an opportunity to reconnect with these traditional ways, creating space for healing, understanding, and an empowered birthing journey. What we’ll explore: • Romiromi and bodywork to support fertility • Takutaku and oriori for conception • Pregnancy mirimiri and romiromi • A birthing waiata to guide pēpi into the world • Rongoā Māori for wāhine • Postpartum care and restoration • The significance of whenua (placenta) • Creating a calm and intentional birthing environment Who this is for: • Hapū māmā and whānau • Couples on their fertility or pregnancy journey • Kaimahi, practitioners, and birth workers • Midwives, doulas, nannies, aunties, nurses, and support people This wānanga honours the role of the whole whānau, including tāne as protectors and supporters in the birthing journey and supports the reconnection to our traditional practices.
