Conceived in 2017 as a radio show, Negative Space rapidly expanded into a popular rave and club night. Inspired by the original rave ethos of the late 80s and early 90s, they strive to cultivate unique dance floor moments, focusing on underground methodologies and eschewing a formulaic approach to events. As promoters, they regularly bring acts from across Aotearoa to Ōtepoti, and hold a weekly radio residency every Thursday at 9pm on Radio One.

Fantasia is a four headed, two armed shadow corporation with unknown origins somewhere deep in Ōtautahi suburbia. It’s two arms Fantasia Corp (auditory division) and Fantasia AV (analog visuals division) work together to achieve a vision of immersing punters in retro rave aesthetics, complete with behemoth stacks of cathode-ray tube screens and projections.

They've hosted a string of genre-agnostic gigs at Flux in the year before it closed, featuring scene OGs and up and comers alike, all steeped in 90s and Y2K optimism. Fantasia’s last gig at the Underpass (in collaboration with Rinsed) featured two zones with over 15 DJs. Prior to this, saw heavyweight junglist Fluid Haunts shell down to Ōtautahi alongside Spook, Texture & Tikka, in collaboration with 103 Soundsystem.
