New Forest Runners, Lymington Triathlon Club & Lymington Athletics invite you to Race 4 of the CC6 series on 14 December 2025.
The venue is located around the Holmsley Campsite, BH23 7EQ. What3Words: //surveyors.nuggets.improvise
The race begins promptly at 09:30hrs. Please arrive in good time as we are on the west side of Hampshire, although the venue is easy to access from the A35 and the A31.
The gates to access Holmsley campsite will be open from 08:00hrs. Please follow the directions of the parking marshals. The gates will be closed promptly at midday, so please do not go off for a long walk after the race as the barrier will be locked until well into the New Year!
We will be using the campsite for parking and all Club pop up tents and flags. There are no changing facilities but there will be a couple of mobile toilet units. As the event could be monitored by Forestry England please use the WC facilities provided.
Please feel free to bring your own cups and drinks. Cakes will be provided. There will be bins around but please ensure any litter is cleared away or taken away.
The course is undulating on mainly gravel tracks but there are sections that contain tree roots or are very uneven/rough. With the amount of rain we have had there will be standing water and mud. The distance is approximately 8k.
The start is a 5-10 mins walk back to an area where you arrived, where there is plenty of room to spread out. You will set off along the grass for approx. 200 metres, where you will be directed to head right along an undulating rough path before heading off towards the entrance to the Enclosure. There will be marshals along the whole course to guide you along any change of direction, otherwise please stick to the main gravel track.
There will be 2 minor road crossings which will be closely managed by marshals.
The last half a mile brings you back around to a sprint finish along by the entrance to where you parked.
