Ever wondered: Where does the blue in blue jeans come from!?
Indigo & Provisions Presents:
A weekend of different workshops for you to choose from delving into our favourite colour: BLUE. Using natural indigo dye and Japanese Shibori techniques we will explore this beautiful art form. Shibori is a Japanese manual dyeing technique, which produces patterns on fabric. More on that here: https://tinyurl.com/ydhz5qku
Sunday's workshop is a more advanced/ in depth look at dying and techniques. Some experience with natural dying is reccomended! The workshop is 6 hours long with an hour break for lunch (food not provided) and shorter breaks throughout.
The event will begin at 9am at Indigo and Provisions which is located in the Boy's High Building at The Art Centre.
The tutor for these events is Deb Donnelly who is joining us from the Kapiti Coast and is an internationally recognised Shibori teacher and Indigo artist. ( https://debdonnellyecotextiles.wordpress.com/about/
