British Birds are rounding off another big year with a hometown gig!
From the homogenous grey fizz of cloud hanging over deepest Lancashire spring uplifting, mad-cowbell infused, self-unconscious British Birds, journeying through melancholy; guided by sweet 'n' shriek harmonies, disco bass, thumping drums, wonky guitar and cathartic vocals. At times deeply intimate and at others theatrically dizzying. These DIY, low-key ornithologists dedicate themselves to the whole package, from the artwork, to screen printing merch, to recording, producing and releasing their own craft, which emalgimates their many influences such as B-52s, XTC, The Vaselines, and Ty Segall.
British Birds have sold out prestigious venues across the UK and gained coveted airtime globally, including live sessions on BBC 6 Music and Radio X.
They are joined by Lancaster legends Morton Betts "reasonably loud and suitably energetic" is an understatement - the four-piece put a fresh spin on music that sits somewhere between rock, punk, and generally alternative.
