From 7–12 November 2025, the Ecoversities Alliance is holding its annual Planetary (Global) Gathering in Chonburi, Thailand. Over 100 participants—“rebels, dreamers and visionaries” from around the world—will convene to explore and co-create alternative educational models, deeply connected to ecological, cultural, economic, and spiritual life. Many are rooted in grassroots movements, indigenous communities, ecological initiatives, and spiritual traditions.
The gathering takes place at the Mab Ueang Agri‑Nature Centre, a previously degraded site now regenerated into a food forest with rice paddies, natural water systems, and rich biodiversity. It serves as a living model of regenerative agriculture and community sustainability, offering an immersive, nature‑rooted learning environment.
Hosted and ceremonially guided by Phra Sangkom, a Thai monk known for ecological wisdom and spiritual ecology, the program will include soulful conversations beneath mango trees, hands‑on work in rice fields, restorative rituals, joyful play, and an immersion into Thailand’s communal and caring spirit.
