Friday Nights in the Park is a weekly community celebration designed to bring residents together to enjoy local entertainment, support local micro-businesses, and connect with friends and neighbors. The event features a farmers market located along the paved lane, highlighting local growers, producers, and crafters, while food trucks, retail vendors who do not qualify for the farmers market, event sponsors, nonprofit organizations, clubs, and select marketing vendors are located in the grassy area near the stage.
Local food trucks are featured most weeks, with select appearances by regional favorites such as Chick-fil-A and Cousins Maine Lobster.
In 2025 we introduced special themed nights, including Nerd Night, Wildlife and Outdoors Night, Dog Days of Summer, a Veterans Recognition Night, an evening featuring pediatric-focused support organizations and healthcare providers, and an evening where the Museum of Osteology brought in an exhibit to showcase some of their skeletons/ bones.
This season also introduced two Young Entrepreneurs Nights, providing local youth the opportunity to operate booths without the specialized licensing typically required of vendors, fostering youth engagement and small business development within the community.
Each year, the City of Choctaw works to make Friday Nights in the Park a little better, creating a welcoming Friday evening event held from May through the end of September that delivers quality entertainment, fosters economic growth, and provides residents of all ages a place to come together and feel connected to their community.
