IEEE CUET WIE Affinity Group Student Branch proudly announces its national-level flagship event titled “𝗧𝗥𝗜𝗦𝗖𝗘𝗡𝗗 𝟭.𝟬”, a platform designed to inspire innovation, ethical leadership, and creative problem-solving among undergraduate students across Bangladesh.
This event aims to empower participants to explore real-world challenges through the lens of ethics, sustainability, and futuristic thinking. Comprising three distinctive competitive segments - Mindful Futures, Policy Making Challenge, and Visions for Tomorrow - TRISCEND brings together bright minds to envision and engineer a responsible and forward-thinking tomorrow.
𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗦𝗲𝗴𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀:
1️⃣ 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗙𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀– 𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗠 𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻
A dynamic case-solving challenge designed to test your analytical skills, creativity, and ethical reasoning in tackling modern STEM-based issues.
𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻:
• Each team may consist of up to 3 members.
• At least one member of every team must be a female student with a STEM background. This requirement applies to all teams, including those consisting of two members. Should a team consist of only one member, that member must be a female student from a STEM background.
𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲:
𝗣𝗵𝗮𝘀𝗲 1: 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗥𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱:
• Registered teams will be randomly divided into several groups.
• Each group will receive an identical case problem.
• Teams must develop and submit a 15-slide PowerPoint presentation (PPT/PPTX) proposing their innovative, ethical, and practical solutions.
• Submissions must align with the IEEE Code of Ethics and be uploaded online.
• Top-performing teams from each group will qualify for the final phase.
𝗣𝗵𝗮𝘀𝗲 2: 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗥𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱:
• The top two teams from each group will compete in the grand finale.
• All finalist teams will be given a new case problem, identical for all finalists.
• Final presentations must explicitly align with one or more UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
• Teams will present their solutions live at the CUET campus in front of an expert panel of judges.
• The winning team will be selected based on ethical integrity, practicality, and innovation.
𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗙𝗲𝗲:

2️⃣ 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝘆 𝗠𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲
An opportunity for aspiring thinkers and policymakers to design impactful strategies addressing real-world STEM-related issues.
𝗧𝗮𝘀𝗸 𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄:
• Registered participants will receive a problem statement highlighting a current STEM education issue.
• They must submit a policy document (PDF format) within a 2000-word limit.
• The policy should present an innovative, feasible, and impactful approach to the stated problem.
𝗥𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗦𝗲𝗴𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀:
• Policy Title
• Vision
• Objectives
• Policy Components
• Challenges & Tentative Solutions
𝗔𝗱𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀:
• Visual aids or references may be added (optional but encouraged).
• Submissions will be screened for similarity and AI integration (maximum allowed: 20%).
• Example topics include:
Incorporating renewable energy education into university curricula or Addressing the ethical implications of artificial intelligence in modern society.

3️⃣ 𝗩𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗧𝗼𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗼𝘄 – 𝗙𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗩𝗶𝘀𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗿𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻
This creative segment invites participants to visualize the future - blending science, sustainability, and imagination to portray a world transformed by technological progress.
𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗺𝗲 𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄:
Registered Participants will be given a specific theme, and they will have to illustrate a futuristic vision that reflects innovation, environmental consciousness, and societal advancement.
Example Themes:
• The role of biotechnology and space innovation in redefining human existence.
• The harmony between AI, environment, and human well-being in a sustainable future.
𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀:
