- **Event Description**: The latested of a series of OLC events in which three carefully selected singer-songwriters are 'on stage' together taking turns to perform their original songs, discussing their inspirations, & engaging in friendly banter.
This time around we've chosen three artists who draw inspiration from the county of Kent it's history, its traditions & contemporary way of life.
BOB KENWARD is a highly entertaining singer-songwriter of near legendary status. Bob works tirelessly to support & promote folk music in Kent & has written songs about the County which have an anthematic quality. Compositions about historical characters & events at times reveal a penchant for meticulous scholary reseach & at others a vivid imagination & a zany sense of humour. 
RACHEL LOWIE is not just here to add youthfulness & feminine good looks to the preceedings.The Medway based guitarist & singer is a cornerstone of emergent multi instrumental, multi voiced all female Kent Folk trio, the superb Ashen Keys. As if that wasn't enough she is also a singer-songwriter in her own right taking inspiration from local stories and life esperiences.
PAUL STEPTO a Tonbridge Folk Club Resident, is a singer-songwriter, guitarist & mandolin player who is a master of contemporary social and cultural satire. Paul frequently takes his inspiration from newsworthy local events & happenings. His songs are both thought provoking & at the same time humorous. Paul gigs & records both as a solo artists & also as part of a long running duo with friend Pete Metcalfe.
From 7.30 pm until 8.10 pm, we're open to floorspots before the guests come on to play the first of their two sets. Singers, musicians, and poets are all welcome. Self-penned material will be welcome but optional.
A cash hat collection goes to the guests in its entirety. 
The suggested minimum contribution is £7 but please give a little bit more if you can afford it.
The club premises and CAMRA award-winning bar will be open on the day from 6.15 pm. It's CARD payments only: free entry to OLC members, £1 to non-members.
