A Festive Night At The Hollywood Canteen With Alex Mendham & His Orchestra

Join us for a step back in time to Christmas at the Hollywood Canteen, 1944! Featuring a night of music with Alex Mendham and His Orchestra. Be transported back to America's greatest generation at Planes of Fame. Enjoy historical holiday fun -- drinks, dancing, a live swing band, photo opportunities, and so much more!

YOUR TICKET INCLUDES:

• Two free drink tickets (additional beer and wine available for purchase thereafter)
• Complimentary dessert selection, coffee, tea, and hot chocolate
• A free swing dance lesson before the band starts
• Live music featuring Alex Mendham and His Orchestra
• An opportunity to view our reenactors' carefully curated historical displays
• Museum tours of the hangar's extensive collection, courtesy of Planes of Fame staff

There will also be a Toys For Tots drive hosted by a member of the Marine Corps present at our event. Please feel free to bring a toy to donate!

**Dinner will not be served at this event -- please be sure to plan accordingly!

CODE OF CONDUCT

All attendees to the party at expected to adhere to the rules set for by both the HUSC and Planes of Fame Air Museum to include:

1. Respect the museum displays and property by causing no damage, and please dispose of all trash in the proper receptacles.
2. Please drink responsibly -- participants will be required to present a valid photo ID at the bar in order to be served.
3. Follow the directions given by both museum staff and HUSC members working the event.
4. Bring a positive attitude to our celebration!

DRESS CODE

1940's attire is highly encouraged, but not required. Cocktail, Military Class A (Allied only).

Prohibited attire includes casual or athletic clothing, flips-flops, sandals, jeans, T-shirts and overly revealing clothing. Please keep it classy.

Info: Come in and enjoy a drink from the bar, socialize, and dance to some 40's tunes before we get ready for our swing dance lesson and main performance!

Info: Learn the basic steps of 1940's swing, taught by experienced dancer Asi Lang. This will be a short course that will prepare any beginner to be able to hop on the dance floor when the band comes on!
