Produced in partnership with Jefferson County WA, The Production Alliance, Jefferson County Department of Emergency Management, East Jefferson Fire and Rescue, and Neighborhood Preparedness (NPREP)
Preparedness Day is a free community celebration designed to inspire residents of East Jefferson County to learn about resilience and emergency preparedness. This is the first touchpoint on Emergency Preparedness for many local residents and a deep dive on skill building and resource sharing for those who are ready.

Goals for Preparedness Day
Raise awareness of the importance of Emergency Preparedness
Provide Access to EP resources and networks
Build community / strengthen relationships
Strengthening the working relationships among EP partners
Strengthen community resilience in general
Skill building for community members
Reaching folks that have never been a part of the EP world is a priority
More broadly, over the next 5 years we seek to inspire every Jefferson County resident to prepare to survive without access to food, water and medical attention outside of their neighborhood. 3 Days prepared = Good, Two Weeks prepared = Better, 30 Days prepared = Best!
