- **Event Description**: We will start the hike at the Kilby Historic Site, a very important place to encourage the next generation to be inspired by and learn about the rural history of Harrison Mills. Then we will enjoy a rural pastoral setting,  passing by the Kilby Provincial Park that is characterized by its scenic riverfront location and wonderful pioneer history.
THE PARTY
After the hike we will drive to Sasquatch Inn AND PUB, 46001 Lougheed Hwy. to enjoy our traditional CHRISTMAS PARTY.
 Do not even think of missing this event!  
 We will share our experiences in hikes and treks in our wonderful country surrounded by mountains and gifted by spectacular lakes, rivers and changing scenery. Some hikers from past groups also will  be with us. 
  -Eventually we will be at about 11:30 am at Sasquatch Inn.

As a final activity we will visit:
THE EAGLES LOOKOUT
Located at Sandpiper golf resort where we can enjoy a walk to the eagle-viewing gazebo overlooking the river; beautiful views of the Harrison River and a great opportunity to see hundreds of amazing eagles!  
35,000 to 50,000 birds move through the region each winter. With the salmon run now peaking, experts say conditions are ideal. “We’re right in the middle of the big salmon run and, of course, the eagles are back,” said ornithologist Rob Butler, honorary director of the Pacific Wildlife Foundation. “If it’s a good salmon run, then the eagles will stay for a long time".
